Kyoto Kinkakuji

There are a lot of Shrines & Temples like Kiyomizu Temple, Kinkakuji, Fushimi Inari-taisya Shrine at Kyoto. In addition, it's also have places which are knowed as Japan Travel Symbol like Arashiyama, Gyon.

KIYOMIZU TEMPLE - A temple which is representative of Kyoto and located in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto city. The view from main hall which is called "The stage of Shimizu" is magnificent. It also famous place to see Cherry blossoms and autumn leaves.

PONTOCHO - An attractive town with variety of restaurant and souvenir shops. Please come to feel the Japan specific atmosphere.

BAMBOO FOREST - A road through the bamboo forest is typical Arashiyama sightseeing spot. Every winter, it is also illuminated in certain period of every winter.

Since 1961, we have attended hundreds of thousands visitors, and been doing our best for your fruitful and unforgettable memories on experiencing historical shrines, temples, local food and culture. We are Kyoto Greeters, the volunteer organization started in February 2017. We consists of only university students living in Kyoto or a nearby city. We are not professional guides, but as a "greeter", we spend some hours with you (normally 2hours to half a day) in Kyoto following your plan as a "local friend." We would like you to share your time in Kyoto with us to exchange our cultural knowledge or way of local lives. If you expect an interaction with local people "as a friend," it is the best choice to hang around Kyoto with us.

We are a goodwill tour guide group consisting of Doshisha University graduates and students in Kyoto. We are not professional guides, but we are all passionate about Kyoto and eager to introduce you to this fascinating city. We can show you everything from famous sight-seeing spots to ‘hidden gems’ known only by the locals.
